Q: How is it made?
A: The `dots' are produced in a special, high-speed ultra cold freezing chamber that takes the product from a liquid into a solid in less than two seconds.
Q: Why is it frozen into 'dots'?
A: Quick-freezing eliminates ice crystals and whipped-in air. Air dilutes the fullness and richness of other ice cream products. The `dots' are also less messy than ordinary ice cream. Q: Will Dippin' Dots© melt?
A: Yes. The `dots' will melt but unlike other ice cream Dippin' Dots© is served at -25° C which allows you to walk around with the product for sometimes as long as 10 minutes and still be enjoying 'dots'.
Q: Are Dippin' Dots© cold?
A: Yes. Served at -25° C and stored at -45° C, much colder than conventional ice cream.
Q: When will Dippin' Dots© be available in Supermarkets?
A: Probably never. Dippin' Dots© must be stored at a minimum -40° C in order to maintain the `dot' form. If you put them in your freezer at home the 'dots' will melt together like regular ice cream.
Q: Is this the ice cream Astronauts eat?
A: No. That ice cream is freeze-dried or dehydrated.
